The new 7,000 sf Redmond Ridge Fire Station contains three (3) drive thru apparatus bays with an adjacent shop area, hose tower, and storage spaces. A decon area is also included in the apparatus bay. Living quarters are designed for five (5) firefighters with individual rooms, shower, laundry, kitchen, dayroom, and dining space. Along with the station offices, a large exercise room is provided as well as a separate police precinct office. The completed station received a national 2006 Station Style Award from the Fire Chief Magazine.
